Eddie Vedder at the Voices for Justice rally last year image

*FAHR OUT: Rick Fahr, publisher of the Log Cabin Democrat, has resigned from the Conway newspaper, "to pursue other opportunities," according to a Log Cabin story. He told me in an email that the split was amicable. Look for a guest column from him in the Times while Max is away.

*'GOLDEN STATE': Check out Rock Candy for info on a new track Eddie Vedder (right) and Natalie Maines are releasing from last year's WM3 rally in Little Rock.

*HUCK, MUM: Mike Huckabee, a long time supporter of quack "historian" David Barton, thus far hasn't joined the likes of Scott Lively, author of "The Pink Swastika" (a book that blames the Holocaust on gays), who've rushed to defend Barton in the wake of his publisher stopping publication of his book, "The Jefferson Lies," because it had "lost confidence in the book's details."

*KOON!: We celebrated David Koon's 10th anniversary with the Times today. Hope you've taken time to read his excellent profile of P. Allen Smith this week.

*ARKANSAS WEEK: I'm on this week, probably saying a lot of the same things I said on this week's podcast. The show's online now.

*CARRIE!: Anyone else giddy with excitement over the return of Showtime's "Homeland" next month? Check out the latest trailer for season two.
