McRae, 40, was arrested in May, according to this earlier Channel 4 account.
A court clerk said a charge of driving left of center was passed for six months, meaning it would be dismissed if there are no further problems. A charge that he refused to take a breath test will be dismissed after 30 days if he does not appeal the DWI conviction. If he does, it will carry a $290 fine, the clerk said. A charge of having defective tail lights was merged into the DWI charge, she said. McRae was convicted in a trial by Judge Butch Hale.
His attorney, Kevin O'Dwyer, said he wasn't prepared to comment on whether an appeal would be filed. The LRPD said McRae received a 30-day suspension after his arrest. He's served that and will report for work tomorrow, Sgt. Cassandra Davis said.
