Some odds and ends:
* FAITH-BASED HISTORY: The Bible beaters' (Mike Huckabee and others) favorite historian, David Barton, has run into a patch of trouble with a new book on Thomas Jefferson. Some fact-checking reveals more madeup crapola. The Christian publisher is pulling it from shelves.
* MEDICAL MARIJUANA UPDATE: Arkansans for Compassionate Care has scheduled a news conference Monday at the Capitol to announce additional signatures for its medical marijuana initiated act. The group says it's confident that it gathered the 26,000 additional signatures of registered voters to qualify for the ballot in November. That confidence doesn't mean the secretary of state's office won't find ways to disqualify hundreds of them, if not for people failing to be registered voters, for shortcomings in the ticky witnessing and notarization process.
