Adam Rule, the son of 2nd District Democratic congressional candidate Herb Rule, underwent surgery yesterday at UAMS for a glioblastoma on the left side of his brain, said campaign spokesman Adam Fogleman. The family has told friends there were no intraoperative complications.

Rule had reduced campaign activities because of his son’s illness and Fogleman said he’d be continuing to place top priority on his son “until he’s in a better spot.” But he said the campaign will go on. Rule has been making some appearances, primarily in the Little Rock area so he could stay within easy reach of the hospital.
