Arkansas's Chad Griffin knocks Boy Scouts' ban of gay kids

Arkansas native Chad Griffin is doing his home state proud as new leader of the Human Rights Campaign, the leading gay rights organization. I liked what he said about the decision by the Boy Scouts of America, after a secret review, to continue a ban on gay Scouts.

They mean "openly gay," of course. There have been, are and will be gay Scouts.
Why they'd want to be part of an organization that diminishes their worth is a good question.

I could not again encourage anyone to participate in Scouting. I say this as an Eagle Scout and after a couple of years as a Cub Scout leader.

UPDATE: Count on Mike Huckabee to Huck things up. He defends the Boy Scouts, naturally. But, in the process, he equates homosexuality with pedophilia.
