The line is open. Final words:
* 10 DAYS IN JAIL FOR HOG LINEMAN: Hog lineman Jason Peacock has pleaded guilty to taking a fellow student's debit card to buy gas and been sentenced to 10 days in jail and a year's probation.
* RETIREMENT COMING AT RAZORBACK FOUNDATION: Harold Horton is retiring in July as head of the Razorback Foundation, the money pump for Hog athletics. Retirement can be a different sort of thing in Razorback world. The most recent report on file with the IRS shows former president Chuck Dicus was paid $237,000 in the year ending June 30, 2010. Retired Athletic Director Frank Broyles was paid $387,000 that year for speaking engagements. Horton was paid about $152,000 that year for actually running the show. May he enjoy similar post-retirement success. News release says he'll be executive director emeritus.
* WARNING: LANE CLOSURES ON BROADWAY BRIDGE: Metroplan warns that lanes on the Broadway Bridge will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday so a structural analysis of the bridge can be done. This means temporary closures of rights lanes both southbound and northbound during that period, but at least one lane will be open in each direction. The analysis is part of the process to see if the city and county want to take over management of the old bridge for recreational uses if a new bridge is built alongside, rather than tearing down the old bridge for replacement.
