Your turn. Final thoughts:

* 4TH DISTRICT GUIDANCE: D.C. Morrison, who finished third in the Democratic primary for 4th District Congress, says he endorses ticket leader Gene Jeffress in the runoff against Q. Byrum Hurst. That's the best indicator I know that voters should choose Hurst in the runoff. Morrison backed Beth Anne Rankin, the Republican loser this year, in 2010, and cost Democrats a shot at the U.S. Senate by mucking up the primary between challenger Bill Halter and U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln.

* HP SLASHING JOBS: Hewlett-Packard is slashing 27,000 jobs, 8 percent of its workforce. No word yet if that might affect the HP customer support facility in Conway that once was said to employ 1,200. It got $43 million in government incentives to locate there.

* GOOD OL' HILLCREST: The free state of Hillcrest again provided a warm liberal echo chamber against the increasingly cold world in much of the rest of Arkansas. A 91 percent vote for Obama at PH Presbyterian, 937-94 from two precincts that vote there. But we were outdone percentagewise by several, including Greater Archview Baptist, which went for Obama 353-6, or a 98 percent vote. Secede now, Hillcrest! I don't think the Koch Bros. would miss us. If you live in Pulaski County, go to this handy link and click your precinct for results.
