Good. Everyone is reporting a charge will be filed in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. This doesn’t presume the guilt of George Zimmerman. But it is the only way to get a publicly accountable review of an unwitnessed shooting, rather than let Zimmerman walk free by merely saying he’d invoked the Stand Your Ground law. He needs to demonstrate to a jury’s satisfaction that was necessary.

It’s bad law, an invitation to legalized slaughter.
