Trayvon Martin protest at UA

The Black Student Association and the Pan-Hellenic Council at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville will march today at 11:45 a.m. from Brough Commons cafeteria to the end on the Union Mall in honor of Trayvon Martin, high school student shot and killed Feb. 26 by a neighborhood watch captain in Florida.

Charles Robinson, vice provost for diversity affairs, will address the marchers on the issue of injustice in America in an event afterward. Marchers have been asked to wear hoodies in honor of Martin, an African-American whose attire made him suspicious in the eyes of watch captain George Zimmerman.
