Do you feel richer? The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis says personal income in Arkansas rose an average 3.69 percent, lower than the national average of 5.1 percent, in 2011 from 2010. The bureau released the income data earlier today.

The bureau said that earnings here reached a new high, with the average income at $34,014, the second year in a row the average has gone up.

The number of jobs in 2010 and 2009 — both around 1.2 million — still lag behind the high in 2008 of 1.26 million.
