I think it’s worth a brighter spotlight on Sen. Bill Pritchard’s discovery of $500,000 in spare change at the Department of Community Correction to plug into drug courts. They just moved some money around, the story says.
Maybe they could have moved some of that money into hiring more staff to keep up with prison parolees.

Maybe they could explain some of the extraordinary interest Community Correction took in helping former judge Mary Ann Gunn in her plan to set up a commercial TV show out of her Fayetteville drug court.
I note, too, the absence of Republican Party of Arkansas Twitter messaging about the latest legislator to find unexpected spare money in the state’s squeaky tight budget. Rep. Burris?
