Finally heard back from state Rep. Johnnie Roebuck on her consideration of a Democratic race for 4th District Congress.
I did consider and I would enjoy the challenge. However, my position as Majority Leader compels me to remain focused on the upcoming campaigns for House Democrats.
I am grateful for the strong encouragement I received from all over the district.
Filing opens today. The Democratic Party continues to say there's at least one, maybe two, candidates who'll join Sen. Gene Jeffress and clown candidate D.C. Morrison in the race to succeed U.S. Rep. Mike Ross. Republicans will have at least three, Beth Anne Rankin, John Cowart and Tom Cotton.
