There are now only two finalists for the job of president of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. Dr. Richard Jacobs of Arkansas Children's Hospital has withdrawn from consideration. He wrote the search committee a letter that indicated he'd decided, after some soul searching, to stay in the medical field.
That leaves Dr. J. Bradford Hodson, vice president of Pittsburg (Kan.) State University, and Glendell Jones Jr., provost at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Both have campus visits scheduled later this month or early March, but their visits may be moved up from those announced originally because of Jacobs' withdrawal.
