Lots of lessons in this sad story, a couple of them being 1) remember your keys, 2) enter your home through a door.
KFSM reports in detail on the case of a Fayetteville man was killed early Sunday climbing into the wrong window of an apartment house. It seems that he left a window open in his own home and that using a window was a backup plan should he lose keys during a drinking bout. He apparently had crawled into the wrong window before and survived.
Sunday morning, the apartment occupant asked Matt Taylor to leave. He did, but then tried to return and David Butt shot him. The prosecutor said the law protects a person who uses force on reasonable belief a felony is about to be committed in their home.
Taylor will be remembered at a gathering Saturday at his favorite bar.
