A news conference is scheduled Wednesday to discuss plans of the Naturally Blue PAC, built around a core of young and Internet-savvy Democrats who have the goal of stopping the spread of red states into Arkansas.
I've talked with some of the founders and I like their notion of focusing on Republican strength in Northwest Arkansas as one line of initial attack. Develop candidates. Develop networks. Harness social media. Increase turnout. Tap into growth and the rising population of younger voters and Latinos. They'll be active this campaign cycle, but they vow it's not a one-time effort. One thing is certain: Doing nothing will produce nothing.
