Nevada journalist Jon Ralston, poring over PAC reports yesterday, reports that a holding company controlled by Warren Stephens of Little Rock has put $250,000 in 2012 into the American Crossroads PAC, Karl Rove's money machine for electing Republicans. There's more where that came from. Ralston was interested because the related Stephens Media owns the Las Vegas newspaper.
(You think some of that money might find its way to little Timmy Griffin, Karl Rove's protege in the White House political hit squad? In that Stephens is one of his chief money men, you have to like the odds.)
Speaking of PACs: The New York Times is building a database to guide inquiries into which people are giving to which presidential Super PACs.
