Gov. Mike Beebe has filled two vacancies on the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees:

He named Brad Lacy of Conway, an economic developer, to replace Randy Sims and Elizabeth Farris, a Hot Springs banker and daughter of a former UCA president, to succeed the late Harold Chakales. For the record: Beebe has now appointed five of the seven members of the UCA Board.

Beebe also appointed Robert McCormack of Conway to the state Ethics Commission, filling a seat that had been held by Catherine Johnson of Little Rock, and reappointed Howard Slinkard of Rogers to the Arkansas State University Board of Trustees.
