Eight robberies over weekend; police seek suspects

The Little Rock police have identified three suspects in a string of robberies of businesses and people during the last month. Warrants have been issued for Eddie McClendon, 45; Alvin Aikens, 20, and Brandon Goodloe, 25. All are not named in warrants for the same robberies, but the incidents include robbery of the Family Dollar Store on Geyer Springs Dec. 6; Cupid's Lingerie on W. 65th on Nov. 9; Delicious Fashions on Asher on Dec. 1, and three men outside the Fast Mart on Baseline Road on Nov. 18.

Familiar names. McClendon, for example, accused in the Dec. 6 robbery. Also Goodloe, accused in the robberies outside Fast Mart.

UPDATE: Police also reported a spate of eight robberies in LR over the weekend and today said the three suspects are believed to be involved with various of them.

* 65th STREET: A Dollar General and a Church's Chicken both robbed this afternoon.

* RODNEY PARHAM: A Burger King robbed about 7 a.m. Sunday

* RODNEY PARHAM: A Taco Bell robbed about 8 p.m. Saturday.

* W. 12th: A Walgreen's robbed about 8:25 p.m. Saturday.

* W. 12th: A Mapco robbed about 3:40 a.m. Sunday.

* W. 12th: Neighborhood Grocery (4400 block) robbed about 9:20 a.m. Sunday

* W. 12th: A Family Dollar Store robbed about 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

UPDATE II: Aikens and McClendon were arrested this afternoon.
