Meredith Oakley, who resigned last March as associate editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette after 35 years at the paper, is back in the newspaper business. She’s news editor for Stephens Media’s Central Arkansas weekly newspapers. They include the Times of North Little Rock, Maumelle Monitor, Sherwood Voice and others. Dennis Byrd, publisher of the papers, confirms the move.
