Ben Nelson, campaigns next year seem likely to further erode the fiction of independent, uncoordinated expenditures by big money groups, including political parties, on behalf of candidates. Here, the story is about use of Nelson's image in these supposedly independent commmercials. A big money Republican group is slavering in the wings to do exactly the same thing with Republican candidates.
