Notwithstanding Rick Perry's Arkansas regiment, commanded by Col. David Sanders, it's starting to look like a runaway for Mitt Romney. I judge by coverage of mainstream media coverage this morning of last night's debate. Washington Post, above, is typical.
Talking Points Memo had a good summary of last night's event, plus this observation:
The average low-information voter isn't going to be exposed to any account of this debate that includes this necessary corrective: The prescription for economic recovery offered by the Republican presidential field is completely divorced from reality.
PS — Somebody noted that, at this moment four years ago, Hillary Rodham Clinton was viewed as the inevitable Democratic nominee.
