The Little Rock Police Department sends word this morning of two robberies that occurred within approximately 30 minutes of each other last night. At around 9:30 p.m., the Site Store, a convenience store located at 7320 Cantrell Road was robbed at gunpoint by two men. At approximately 10:30, one suspect held up the Subway on Van Buren. Business Robbery/ 7320 Cantrell Road (Site Store)
On August 8, 2011, at approximately 2128 hours, officers
responded to the listed location in reference to a Robbery in
Progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with the store clerk who
advised two (2) unknown black males entered the business, displayed a
silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the cash
register. He advised the first suspect reached over in the register
and started pulling money out because he was moving too slow. The
first suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, white long sleeves, blue
jean shorts and a black dew rag over his face. The second suspect was
wearing camouflage pants and a blue hoodie sweatshirt. The suspects
left running north on Kingsrow. A passerby advised Communications the
suspects were possibly driving a white Crown Victoria with tinted
windows. No arrests at this time.
Business Robbery/ 100 NORTH VAN BUREN (Subways)
On August 08, 2011, at approximately 2200 Hours, officers responded to
a robbery just occurred at the Subway located at 100 North Van Buren.
Officers made contact with the clerk who advised that a black male
suspect armed with a black semi-automatic pistol entered the business
at approximately 2200 hours. The suspect demanded that the employees
open the register, at which time he opened the register and the
suspect walked around the counter and took the cash from the drawer.
The suspect fled from the business and ran north towards the rear of
the business. No injuries were reported. The suspect was a black
male, in his early 20’s, wearing a red T-shirt, dark colored pants and
wearing a white cloth over his face. Both victims stated the suspect
had a tattoo on his right arm. No arrest at this time.
