Says here that phone lines to congressional offices are jammed with callers unhappy about the gridlock in Congress over the debt ceiling.
Prompted by a complaint from a reader, I found on two checks that I could not access the e-mail function on U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin's website. The server is also too busy for his "Debt Limit Survey." But was able to dial right through to his Washington office, where the person on the phone said calling had been heavy. They are taking names and positions on the issue. I hope most are objecting to Griffin's willingness to torpedo the U.S. government to protect rich people from a tax increase. The polls show that to be an UNpopular sentiment (a majority thinks revenue should be part of the deal), but ....
Griffin's phone: 202-225-2506
You can't get on Rep. Rick Crawford's website at the moment. Or maybe he just turned it off, being equally committed to millionaires over the republic. His phone: (202) 225-4076
Rep. Steve Womack is a waste of time, naturally. Rep. Mike Ross? His website also jammed. His staff invited calls at 1-800-223-2220 or email at email@example.com.
