I don’t have the order, but Pulaski Circuit Judge Jay Moody has dismissed Sheffield Nelson’s lawsuit against the Game and Fish Conmmission alleging unconstitutional operation of the agency. He contended a committee system often gave power to three commissioners to control the agenda on which the full Commission voted.

Today, Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Jay Moody dismissed Sheffield Nelson’s lawsuit against the AGFC. The ruling ends a nearly one-year legal battle. The following is a comment from AGFC Director Loren Hitchcock.

Hitchcock comment on dismissal of Nelson’s lawsuit against the AGFC:

“We are pleased with Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Jay Moody’s dismissal of Sheffield Nelson’s lawsuit against the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Now that we have a ruling, it’s time to move on and focus on conserving the resources of our great state.”
