In light of the Obama administration's decision that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is unconstitutional, the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals has lifted a stay of the decision striking down the military's Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. The military is moving to implement the repeal of the policy, but this order, unless stayed itself, could hasten the end of that particular form of discrimination. Or will it?
Retrograde Republicans in the U.S. House continue to push an anti-gay agenda, however. Missing U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder on these issues. If there's an extreme position, you can count on the Republicans to march in lockstep with it.
