The New Yorker chats with Alice Walton

The latest New Yorker has the best article I've read yet on billionaire Alice Walton's evolution as, first, a collector of fine art and then mother of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. Several anecdotes about her placing calls to New York auction houses and galleries from the saddle of her cutting horse to buy millions of dollars worth of paintings.

Bonus: The article is available on-line. (though nonsubscribers have to pay, I just discovered.)
