Gunfire was reported in three separate robberies in Little Rock last night. One robbery victim wounded. One suspected robber wounded.
Heading straight to the file for our Best and Worst of 2011 is this police report on a robbery last night in Little Rock:
Iyad Othman, 32, said he was robbed about 8:30 p.m. at Hip Hop Sportswear, 6624 Col. Glen, by "three black homosexual males." Two were armed and one stood at the door as lookout.
Othman said he was fired on, but wrestled a gun from one suspect and fired at them as they fled the business. He said he thought he shot one suspect. While officers were responding, police got a call from Baptist Hospital about a shooting victim. There, they found Carletta Hills, 21, a black woman, receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the back. She was taken to the hospital by another woman, Natalia Phillips. Neither could explain how or where Hills was shot.
Concludes the police report: The three robbery suspects were women dressed as men.
Phillips was charged with robbery. Hills is under guard at the hospital.

* Pizza Hut at 301 N. Shackleford robbed about 10:40 p.m. Employee Antonio Mitchell, 34, was in critical but stable condition, police said, after being shot in the back by a robber who made one employee stay in the back while he forced Mitchell to open the cash register.
