Iyad Othman, 32, said he was robbed about 8:30 p.m. at Hip Hop Sportswear, 6624 Col. Glen, by “three black homosexual males.” Two were armed and one stood at the door as lookout.

Othman said he was fired on, but wrestled a gun from one suspect and fired at them as they fled the business. He said he thought he shot one suspect. While officers were responding, police got a call from Baptist Hospital about a shooting victim. There, they found Carletta Hills, 21, a black woman, receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the back. She was taken to the hospital by another woman, Natalia Phillips. Neither could explain how or where Hills was shot.
