There was a mention of this on the open line comments last night, but here's a link to a full report from OUR Walmart, on the visit to Bentonville Thursday by about 100 members of a fledgling grassroots organization seeking better working conditions from the giant retailer (but not, at least at this point, union recognition.)

I wrote about this new group Wednesday, after a New York Times article on the group, which has organized labor support. Walmart isn't happy about the collective effort, but it did send officials to talk with the group. Says OUR Walmart's website:

There has never been a larger independent group of Associates who has made a trip like this to Walmart’s Home Office. We first gathered together to determine exactly what we would stand for as an organization of, by, and for Associates, and we wrote down our thoughts in a Declaration of Respect — a list of issues that Associates share, which includes our vision for respectful treatment in our stores and improvements to our wages, hours, scheduling and acceptance of our organization, among other items.
