Coincidence: Gerard Matthews Friday reported on lottery commissioners' concerns about a private meeting set to discuss transferring Arkansas Lottery data from a state computer system to a system run by Intralot, the Greek company that runs on-line gambling for the lottery. Accountability, transparency, etc.
Over the weekend, I happened across recent news headlines about Intralot.
* Current and former officials charged with breach of trust in an IT contract.
* Big drop in Intralot stock price due to foreign exchange losses.
No connection direct or indirect suggested among people working in Arkansas and troubles in Greece, except shared employer. But it's good to know who your vendors are.
