But the line is open. Close-out:

* TAX CHEAT: The Justice Department announced today that Dr. Todd Richard Simpson, 46, of Fayetteville had been sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay restitution of more than $800,000 for three years of tax evasion. He set up a phony tax shelter and provided false information to the IRS, the government said.

* SECURITIES FRAUD: And, from Little Rock, comes a 51-month sentence and $1.2 million in ordered restitution for former Little Rock stockbroker's agent Mark Madison, 38. He was accused of taking client money and using it for his mortgage, country club dues, credit cards and other personal expenses.

* THE MARK DARR FINGER: Hmmm. Here's a Republican who sounds like he wishes Washington County had been added to the 4th Congressional District. Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Darr, according to Roby Brock, has been sending signals he might move to Madison County to run against DINO U.S. Rep. Mike Ross. He said several Repubs had encouraged him to move to make a race, but he didn't think it likely in 2012. (Actually, Mark and other Repubs, you might want to read up on your U.S. Constitution. You don't have to be a resident of a congressional district to represent it; state residency is sufficient. This part comes before the 2nd Amendment, so surely you've read it.)
