Salon has a report on the exposure of another bogus "grassroots" group. It's the American Action Network, which called itself a grassroots group, but shows $2.75 million in fund-raising from a whopping 11 contributions, two of them $1 million each. That's about as many roots of grass as you'd find on a lawn in the Arizona desert.
It was formed by Republican fat cat Frederic Malek and former Sen. Norm Coleman.
Why should you care? They poured a ton of money (more than $200,000 according to this) into Arkansas, such as in this video, to beat Democrat Chad Causey in the race for 1st District Congress last year.
