The trend of commentary on Mike Huckabee's publicity stunt today is still that he'll complete his political striptease by saying on his Fox News show tonight that he's NOT running for president.
If so, that still doesn't mean he WON'T run for president. He just won't run right now. You may be sure he'd accept a draft from a grateful Republican Party to ride to its rescue if nobody dominant emerges from what's shaping up as an uninspiring field.
The pleasure would be all Huckabee's and with none of the fund-raising, debating and other troubles associated with clawing for the nomination. Meanwhile, he can keep coining money while he promotes his political brand on his TV and radio shows. The beauty is that they pay HIM; he need not raise money to pay others for the broadcast exposure as a candidate would.
If no draft develops, no problem. The Huck still has his bucks, which has always been his paramount concern.
