In this week's podcast, we blow through the news of the day — the conclusion of redistricting, Secretary of State Mark Martin's quest for "ethical leadership" and deficit fights in Washington — and I quiz Max about his 19 years at the Times and his thoughts on the news model of the future.

This thinking back is inspired by the presentation Alan Leveritt and I are giving at the Root Cafe's "Dinner for Change" event, where we'll be talking about the past, present and future of the Times.

I'm planning on recording it, so if all goes well, we'll air it as a podcast soon. (Also, you might check our Justin.TV link. Max may livestream it with his iPhone if he can get in good spot and light is right. Time between 6:30 and 7. UPDATE: I had no wireless available at the church and the Justin.TV service kept dropping because of lack of bandwidth on the 3G network. Sorry if anybody tried to look.)

I don't know if it's too late to RSVP for the Root dinner but here's a link to the details.
