Republican Rep. Paul Ryan's health care plan is nothing more or less than Obamacare. The only real difference is that he won't admit he's touting a plan that, when offered by the president, he scorns.
The Ryan plan, by the way, isn't likely going anywhere. It's interesting to hear other Republicans weasel around the proposals to end single-payer health coverage for older people and to strangle Medicaid, the program for the poor. You won't hear many ringing endorsements. What you hear is what Rep. Tim Griffin was saying on a Sunday radio show. A "good start." Things have to change. Yadda yadda.
