The Blue Hog Report continues its work mining the public record for embarrassing facts about state legislators.
Here, it's a report that a freshman Republican legislator, Rep. Josh Johnston, has a 1995 misdemeanor hot check conviction. Blue Hog argues that this is prima facie cause for disqualification from office. I've sought a comment from the legislator on whether he has a conviction and, if so, if he has legal advice on eligibility to serve.
