No. 2: Darr trying harder to get there

We reported last week an account from an I-40 motorist about the speedy, Steve McQueen-style driving of a white pickup bearing a "2" license plate. Sounded a lot like Lt. Gov. Mark Darr's vehicle. He didn't want to talk to us about his driving, however.

We snapped a photo of his truck at the Capitol today on account of this weekend note:

Send someone with a camera to the Capitol. Based upon what I've seen, you'll clearly see a radar detector on the dash of the white Ford truck owned by Lt. Gov. Mark Darr. That same vehicle passed me last Sunday afternoon when I was driving back to Little Rock from Ft. Smith. I was driving at around 72-75 mph. The truck passed me and continued heading east on I-40 at a fairly fast pace. I'd say the new Lt. Gov. has a heavy foot. I wonder if that was a bad habit he developed when he was delivering pizza? Or, maybe he's a recent graduate of the Fireball Holland Driving School!

Was that him on I-40? Can't say. But something seems to be plugged in on the dash of Darr's truck.

Soon, we're going to post on the web the complete list of legislative and state official license plates. We're getting too many reports to check them all. We hope to provide a comment spot there for citizen observations.
