Was that a group of Republican legislators gathered just by chance at Cajun's last night? Or was a lobbyist on hand to pick up the tab — perhaps as a so-called "group expenditure," which reduces the ethical reporting requirements.
Still waiting for that new broom to sweep clean at the Capitol. For transparency and all.
Wouldn't surprise me if somebody with a SWEPCO credit card was on hand. The coal burners always have legislative needs even though, last night, thanks to Gov. Mike Beebe, SWEPCO and the Co-op's court-stripping bill had been sidelined for the time being.
UPDATE: I believe another energy company was driving this party, from the fracking lobby.
