The White House has released what it calls the first comprehensive federal report on the status of women in 50 years.
I'll give you the links and spare you most of the summary. But it includes the findings that, while women have reached education and workforce parity with men, income parity hasn't been achieved. At all levels of education, women are paid about 75 percent of what male counterparts make. Some of this is explained by the disproportionate burden unmarried and divorced women assume for child care.
