More gun news. Rep. Bryan King has another piece of expensive, unnecessary legislative gun claptrap. It's his copycat bill to follow other states in attempting to exempt firearms made in Arkansas from federal regulation. The ATF has declared such laws null and void. Backers of such legislation are hoping to leverage the laws into new court precedent curbing federal power over state commerce, part of a new states rights movement based on the 10th amendment.
We thought it was all about jobs.
Turns out it's about guns, abortion, punishing immigrants and cutting rich people's taxes.
UPDATE: House member says NRA forces are really putting the screws on House Judiciary members because of that commitee's do-not-pass vote on Denny Altes' open carry bill. They haven't quit yet.
