Former Washington school chancellor Michelle Rhee and her fiance, charter school leader Kevin Johnson of Sacramento, the former NBA star, will be in town Feb. 25 to speak as part of the Clinton School’s lecture series. The Clinton School has had both as speakers before. They will speak at 6 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center. The timing might prove serendipitous for their cause. The Billionaire Boys Club has begun rolling out its charter/school law package at the Capitol and action can be expected soon.

Perhaps the recent reporting on Rhee’s fudging of her academic record will come up. Got some time? Google Johnson and his charter school for a wealth of provocative reading.

I wish they could have arranged to put Diane Ravitch on the same panel. But you can read her here.
