Since our publishing schedule has been discombobulated a bit by weather, I’ll pass along early an item slated for this week’s Insider column.

Raymond Abramson of Holly Grove, currently serving by appointment to complete federal Judge Price Marshall’s term on the Arkansas Court of Appeals, is planning a race for Arkansas Supreme Court next year. He’ll seek the seat currently held by Justice Jim Gunter. Gunter hasn’t made a public statement yet, but he’s expected to announce he’s retiring.
