In January, one of our cover stories will be our annual Arkansan of the Year feature. We'll write about a person — or people — who've had a singular impact on the state and/or news events. The person selected need not be cited for positive impact. Hitler earned Time's man of the year recognition way back when.
As is customary, I invite readers to submit their choices here. I'll repeat the line several times in days ahead. I welcome diversity of all sorts, from gender to geography, from politics to punditry.
Confession: Last year we featured Mike Ross and Blanche Lincoln for their pivotal roles in the health care debate. The former covered himself in dishonor and was re-elected; the latter finally did the right thing and was sent packing by voters. So .... call this honor a jinx if you will.
