AP's Andrew DeMillo wrote a column this week featuring Sheffield Nelson's fight with the Game and Fish Commission and his advocacy for a higher gas severance tax (Ernie Dumas has a cover story on this subject for us Jan. 13).
DeMillo asked Nelson about a question raised here several weeks ago. No, said the the two-time Republican gubernatorial nominee, he has no plans to seek political office in the future. His high-profile current efforts are simply "public service," he says.
