A Capital Celebration

On Monday, Jan. 10 and Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, the 2011 Arkansas Governor’s Inauguration will be held in Little Rock to honor Governor and Mrs. Mike Beebe and their service to the state of Arkansas.

The 2011 Gubernatorial Inaugural Festivities Unveiled

A Capital Celebration Announced for Arkansas's Forty-Fifth Governor

LITTLE ROCK (Dec. 21, 2010) — A two-day celebration for the 2011 Arkansas Governor's Inauguration will honor Governor and Mrs. Mike Beebe and their service to the state of Arkansas on Monday, Jan. 10 and Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.

"This inaugural celebration is a symbol of the Beebe administration's commitment to a better future for all Arkansans," said Stacy Sells, the 2011 Inaugural Committee Coordinator.

Monday's event, "Beebe-Que: A Southern Casual Affair," will commence the festivities with a southern-style soiree featuring BBQ, catfish and some of the Governor's other favorite eats. Tuesday evening, A Capital Celebration Inaugural Ball will set the stage in traditional elegance as attendees gather in the Governor's Hall of the Statehouse Convention Center.

Both evening events will require a ticket for entrance. Tickets may be purchased at or by calling 1-800-494-8497.

In addition to the evening events, the public is invited to attend the Inaugural Address ceremony at noon and the Governor's Reception at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11. The Inaugural Address ceremony will be held on the steps of the State Capitol, while the Governor's Reception will be held inside the Capitol Rotunda.
