A man was stabbed in the River Market this morning, around 11 a.m. or so. Early word is that the stab wound isn't life-threatening. I'm seeking more info. A portion of the west end of the River Market is behind a police line at the moment.
UPDATE: Quick comment from Police Lt. Terry Hastings, report not on file yet but:
Two guys got in an argument and one hit the other with a brick. It happened on the street next to Channel 7 and they took the one hurt in the River Market for treatment. Don’t know why they were arguing. The suspect dropped his driver’s license. Makes identifying the suspect easy.
Lindsey Millar quotes a person who was nearby as saying the victim, a male in his teens, suffered severe gashes to the face and neck and his injuries might have been worse had not someone from the River Market intervened.
