Aaron Jones, the lawyer convicted of burning his Chenal Valley mansion to collect on insurance, was sentenced today to 10 years in prison for the crime, Arkansas Business reports. He also was assessed a $125,000 fine and ordered to pay $1.3 million restitution. Jones, who earlier refused a plea bargain in the case, will appeal. His family is mounting a vigorous campaign to make the case that the government’s case overlooked evidence favorable to Jones.
