* Fort Smith, the nominal setting for the novel “True Grit” and the movies based on the book (though filming was done elsewhere in both cases), is working itself into a frenzy about the coming premiere of the Coen brothers’ version of the flick. They are calling it Gritapalooza, which even has a Facebook page with contests, trivia and other stuff. From Jennifer Boulden at the Convention and Visitors Bureau:
