The Chronicle of Higher Education has taken a look at the high-flying planes of the Southeastern Conference. The members have some high-class jets, often deployed for athletic purposes. The interesting point is that most, including the University of Arkansas, have taken steps to block flight plans from easy public scrutiny. Where do they go? But the better question is who's aboard when they fly? Do family members, friends and high-powered bigshots hitch rides? Are reimbursements required for personal use? How much? Hog elite are not alone in being reluctant to share this information. The UA is listed as owning a Beechcraft King Air turboprop and a Hawker 400 twin-engine jet.
