I note an Arkansas Business item about a new $90 million credit line for America's Car Mart, the Arkansas-based used car outfit. I've written about them recently. They were a $100,000 contributor to the campaign to pass the three-part constitutional amendment that included lifting the cap on consumer credit to 17 percent, from a 5 percent float over the federal discount rate.
Looks like a good chunk of Car Mart's credit will cost it 3 percent. Pretty good spread against what they'll charge consumers, never mind the price markup.
