At 7:48 AM, Thursday, October 21, 2010, a domestic incident where a weapon was discharged occurred in the parking lot of 4039 E. Kiehl Ave. Jeffery Caldwell pulled into the parking lot on E. Kiehl Ave to drop off his wife, Karisa Caldwell, at her job. The couple had been arguing during the drive to Sherwood and it continued while on the parking lot. Mrs. Caldwell had exited the vehicle and Mr. Caldwell began driving away. As he pulled across the parking lot, Mrs. Caldwell fired one round from a handgun at his vehicle. The bullet struck the front passenger door glass. Mr. Caldwell was not struck by the bullet however he did receive minor cuts on his right arm from the broken glass. Mr. Caldwell was treated by officers at the scene and did not require any further medical treatment.

A Sherwood officer was at a nearby business when the shooting occurred and responded immediately. Mrs. Caldwell was taken into custody without further incident and has been transported to the Sherwood Jail. Detectives are continuing their investigation and will likely file formal charges on Mrs. Caldwell later today.

UPDATE: Mrs. Caldwell was charged with the following offenses:
